I’m starting up an arts organization, but am only a sole-proprietorshop and don’t want to go full non-profit unless I know I can handle the load. However, I still want to offer free community services and get in-kind donations and apply for art grants.
I’m aware of umbrella organizations, but am hoping there’s a way I can still do in-kind donations through the business – is this possible?

Im doing a debate at school and I’m Sarah Palin
I wanted to bring up how people are making fun of her about her clothes, and that she is donating them to charity and auctioning them off to raise money for charity and giving some back to the stores. I tried to find the charities, but all I found was the Pitt Bull Rescue Central (for dogs) and a chairty that helps abused women restart their lives. Are those right? is there any more? thanks for all your help!

I was invited by Lead America to be apart of their summer program. I chose the Ambassadors Abroad program which costs roughly 6,000 dollars minimum. I’m not quite sure how to ask for donations or fundraise for a personal cause. Is it unlikely to do this because it’s not a specific group or organization that I’m fundraising for? Please help. All suggestions are welcome.

I am 30 year old female that is relatively healthy. I am thinking of donating plasma for the first time. I have regularly donated blood with no problems. I could really use the money but for some unknown reason I don’t trust plasma donation. Are there any actual risks or is this all in my head? Thanks!

Since most people don’t use cash any more and therefore aren’t carrying change, how much have donations to the Salvation Army declined? Any help would be appreciated, I’m writing a report for my Domestic Econ Class and don’t know where to start!

Last time I donated I almost passed out and had to stop when I tried my kickboxing-aerobics class the next day. I’m planning on donating again tomorrow, but I’m worried how long I’ll have to take off from my gym classes. I’ve lost 15lbs since I donated last, too. Will that make it a longer recovery?? I’m 5’7″ and 145lbs. now.

I have been chatting with a financial planner. He has talked to me about different option for IRA and life insurance. The IRA is through a company I think called Allianz and he said that anytime you put money in there plan you get a 4% bonus. I think the then is taking 1% of that has commission but I could be wrong. I have to keep my money in this IRA for 10 years but it is promised to never go down over those ten years from the highest $ amount.
He also discussed different types of insurane plans.. I have no idea. I am 34 single mother of 2 kids 3 &5. Any clue as to what type of plan would be good for me. My company doesnt offer a 401K. What % is reasonable for him to get on the life insurance?
