Can financial aid be split between 2 schools ...
I currently go to a community college. I am majoring in nursing but I have not started any nursing courses yet. I am almost done my prerequisites. I take community classes at night and I would like to take a CNA course (which is about 4-6 weeks)during the day, but it is not in the same school. Can financial aid pay for my community classes (which they are currently) and my CNA course?
Also if anyone has any tips for me with CNA courses.

colleges.mywebcommunity.org – it has detailed info how to apply for financial aid and scholarships to get more cash.
Legally, you can only get financial aid from one institution at a time. You can fill out a form called a consortium agreement through your CC which allows you to attend another institution at the same time and your financial aid package would be adjusted with the course included. This can only be done if the CNA course transfers back to the home school (the community college). If your asking if you can use the money you get back from your fin aid refund towards the class the answer is yes. Do not klisten to anyone that tells you that you cannot. That money is for you to live off of while in school. You could technically buy a car if you have enough refund left over. Be smart about it though. If the course is a good idea, do it. As for applying for fin aid for two separate schools at the same time, that cannot be done. One school at a time. Hope this helps.
