These are great questions! You should definitely ask these questions before doing anything with your body.
Donating plasma is EXTREMELY safe. Risks include low iron levels and getting a scar from where they draw the blood. Everything they use is fresh from the package and sterile and thrown away after every person, so no risk of aids or any other transferable diseases.
Here in CA, you get paid from $20-30 an appointment and you can donate 2x a week. So that is really more like $160-$240 for a 4 week month.
My husband and I both have donated plasma. The first place we went to was overcrowded and not very nice. The place we go to now is very pleasant. Only 8 stations, only takes appointments. The people are so nice. You get a drink and snack when you are done. We both enjoyed going there and I miss it now that I have a full time job. They also have programs for those vaccinated for anthrax and hepatitis B which can pay from $60 a donation to $100 a donation.
You need to go to this article. http://www.ehow.com/how_2195131_earn-month-donating-plasma.html to see exactly what you will be getting.
And then you need to go to http://www.bloodbanker.com to find a place near you. It’s not a full time job, but it is def. helpful. AND you are helping people out at the same time.

You can die from walking across the street, in that sense, yeah, you could die from donating plasma (the building could cave in, etc). Donating plasma is safe, the site below (while probably not in your area) will answer a lot of frequently asked questions regarding donating plasma.

From what I hear it is not as hard as donating blood and it doesn’t make you as weak. Of course you can always have complications of low blood pressure or ionic imbalances, but as long as you are healthy they will make sure that you don’t get hurt (just don’t go more often than they say).

man what do you think ,they would get in trouble if all the donors died.
