BET’s “College Hill” (+123%) reality series points their cameras at student life in historically black colleges. The latest season features students from the Virgin Islands playing host to four students from Los Angeles. That might sound like the premise of one big unity fest. But that wouldn’t make good reality televsion, would it?

In fact, “College Hill 4” has been stirring up quite the buzz. But it’s not because there’s one love between the youths from LA and their brothers and sisters from the islands. We figured this out when we started seeing searches for “college hill fight” (+384%) battering the Buzz.

Why can’t they get all just get along? You’ll have to ask cast members Vanessa and Krystal. Their bloody fight culminated the escalating tension between the U.S. students and their young hosts from the University of the Virgin Islands in St. Thomas.

Between the Americans claiming their hosts are too “cliquey” and the island students feeling disrepected by the complaints of the “spoiled” guests, there’s been plenty of hot drama to draw in the viewers. But if it takes cast members beating on each other to boost buzz, “College Hill” may find itself running out of steam.
