I’m taking 3 courses this semester and financial aid paid for all of it. Now I need to drop a course that I’m lost in. What will be financial aid’s response to that, and will it affect getting aid in the future?

My parents are getting a divorce. I am going to be a freshman in college next year. I’ve already gotten my financial aid for this year, so that shouldn’t change (right?) but I wasn’t sure if this would affect my financial aid for the next years. My parent’s income should stay roughly the same, albeit seperate.

Before I apply to any scholarships, I want to know if it will affect my financial aid package. Lets say I have a $25,000 financial aid package and I win a $15,000 scholarship. Will my financial aid package be reduced to $10,000 or will I now have $40,000 of my tuition paid?
but don’t colleges give you financial aid as a grant? I’m talking about financial aid given as a grant, not a loan.

My fiance is in school and gets financial aid. I make 55k a year w/ 2 kids. Would she continue to recieve financial aid or would I be expected to contribute to her education?

Basically I have been an idiot and missed some specific financial aid form deadlines, some by days and some by a month. I’m debating what should I do now to minimize the damage. Should I apply anyways and hope for the best or just not apply? And does this affect my admissions chance? Please answer this question truthfully, because it is very important to me! There is a book award scholarship at Chabot College that offers up to $300 dollars. However, it is a federal regulation that any possible money awarded to me will affect my financial aid. So how in all does it affect my financial aid? I think its If I receive $300 dollars from the scholarship, does it subtract $300 from my financial aid? If so, what is the point to doing it? But more than likely, that’s not how it should work, correct me if I am wrong.

I’m a very active weightlifter (5-6 days a week, along with 1-2 cardio sessions a week), but I’m looking to earn a little extra money donating plasma. Can I do both, or will it hurt me? Or maybe just once instead of twice a week? I eat pretty healthy, if that is of any relevance.

So I signed up to donate blood this afternoon (in about an hour actually) and I just found out that donating blood will make you feel tired. i’ve never donated blood before and don’t know how tired it will make me. I was planning on spending the night studying for my last International Relations exam tomorrow. Will donating blood prevent me from studying well tonight?

This year (freshman) all of my tuition is getting payed by government financial aid. However, I need money for other things like housing and credit cards. Will a student loan affect next year’s financial aid even if all of the money were spent? What kind of student loan would be better to get, private or federal?
