Charity

The charity is the Humane Society. Should I include a small list of items that are greatly in need there? I don’t want to word it as so that anyone would be offended. It is most important that the children come and we do not expect anything from anyone. Would like help on proper etiquette wording please.. THANKS!

I’d like to start donating money to a charity that focuses on Africa or the Middle East but want to make sure that the money I donate is accounted for and goes directly to the family. My friend in Denmark contributes to a charity where the sponsor child and family writes to tell you what the money was spent on. Does something like this exist in the US, and is it credible? Thanks

I would NEVER throw clothes away, but I’m kinda a germ freak. I’m a little scared that if I donate old clothes it will spread germs. So is donating the best thing to do, or is there something better? If there is please tell me!!! :)

I keep all the postage stamps that I get on letters and I save them as there used to be a place nearly where I lived (a newsagents) that people could take them to and they passed them on to a certain charity. The shop is no longer open but I have continued to save all the postage stamps from letters I receive. Does anybody know of a charity that takes them – I’m in the UK? Very grateful for any contacts you can give me – thanks!
That should read near where I live not nearly.

If you know from experience that would be greatly appreciated.

My attemps on a world wide charity listing site provided no results. Does anyone know the first step? Organizations specifically for this cause? Appreciate any info.

My friend is having a baby and instead of traditional shower gifts, she’s asking that everyone make a donation to her favorite charity.

I found a UK website that allows people to set up MySpace-type pages where their friends and family can click to and make an easy donation, but I’m struggling to find an equivalent in the US.

Anyone have any ideas?
