I live in Lafayette, Louisiana and I’d like to make a kidney donation to a specific person living in Lafayette, Louisiana. Who can I email about this in order to start the tests and stuff to see if I’m compatible? The person doesn’t know about this.

A woman is donating a kidney to my dad. I knew her when I was very young, but don’t know anything about her so have no idea what to get her as a “thanks for saving my dad’s life” gift. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

My fiance wants to be a police officer. However he is considering donating a kidney to a family memeber. I do not think he can still get a job being a police officer if he has that surgery, and he thinks he can still. Could any law enforcement person or someone who knows someone well in law enforcement tell me who is right. Can my fiance still be a police officer missing 1 kidney?

I’m a social drinker (maybe 3-4 drinks on a saturday night) and I plan on donating a kidney to a friend in a month or so. Once I’ve healed will I be able to have a few drinks or will it be too unhealthy for me?

What are the cons of donating your spare living kidney? I’m in good health, I workout, I’m in shape, I eat healthy, I rarely drink alcohol. What are some negative side effects and things to think about.

I’ve read about some of the risks about donating, but i’d like to ask someone that’s actually donated a kidney before. What side effects should i expect? I am not donating to a family member or friend, im just donating it to whoever needs it. I just want to help save someones life. Thank you for your help!!!
